One person is critical, and two others are in a serious condition following a crash on Franklin overnight.

At 6.45pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Gungahlin Drive and Well Station Drive.

Emergency services arrived and commenced CPR on one of the occupants of the vehicle, they were then transported to hospital in a critical condition.

The occupant of the other vehicle was trapped and required rescue from ACT Fire and Rescue before both occupants of that vehicle were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Investigation Team attended the scene and have launched an investigation into the crash.

The road was closed for several hours while police examined the scene.
