A motorcyclist has been transported to hospital following a crash in Belconnen this afternoon.

At approximately 4.20pm ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Joynton Smith Crescent and Beissel Street.

The rider was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service Paramedics and transported to hospital in a stable condition.

ACT Policing are investigating the cause of the crash.
