One person has been transported to hospital after multiple vehicles were involved in collisions in Franklin this afternoon.

Just after 2pm ACT Emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Flemington Road and Nullarbor Avenue and nearby on Christina Stead Street.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics attended and assessed several people at the scene.

One person was transported to hospital from the location.

Tram services were temporarily suspended and the road was partially closed while the area was made safe.

It’s not known if the two crash locations were linked and police continue their investigations.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed these collisions who is yet to come forward, has video footage from around the time of the collisions or has information about the matter to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
