Firefighters have extinguished a fire at the Mugga recycling centre overnight .

Just before 9pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire on John Cory Road.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire and prevent its spread into further recycling materials.

An ACT ESA spokesperson said all persons evacuated safely and there were no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters remained on scene overnight to ensure the fire was completely out.
