One person has suffered suspected burns following a fire in an apartment in Belconnen last night.

At approximately 11.15pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a fire on an upper-level apartment on Howie Court.

Firefighters quickly contained the fire to the apartment.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated one person at the scene for burns and they were transported to hospital in a stable condition.

ACT Policing were also in attendance.
