A woman has been transported to hospital in a serious condition following a high-speed rollover in Paddys River this morning.

At approximately 11.20am ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Paddys River Road about 1km north of the entry to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve.

Upon arrival ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated a woman at the scene and she was transported to hospital in a serious condition.

It's believed the vehicle left the road climbing an embankment colliding with a number of trees before rolling down the embankment back onto the road.

Officers from ACT Policing's Major Collision Team were at the scene of the crash investigating and the road was closed for several hours.
