A woman has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting of a man in the NSW Southern Tablelands overnight.

Emergency services responded to a home on Murrumbateman Road, Murrumbateman at around 10pm last night following reports that a man had been shot.

When police arrived, officers from The Hume Police District found a 52-year-old man with a fatal gunshot wound.

A 52-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and was taken to Yass Police Station for questioning.

She was subsequently charged with murder (DV) this morning.

She was refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today.
