One person has been transported to hospital following a crash in Bonython this afternoon.

Just before 6pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Drakeford Drive at the intersection of Hurtle Avenue.

ACT Ambulance service paramedics assessed several persons at the scene and one person was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

Firefighters remained on the scene for more than an hour cleaning up a significant amount of oil on the roadway.

ACT Policing were also in attendance and are investigating the cause of the crash.
