A man has escaped serious injury after a collision between a truck and crane overnight.

At about 7pm, NSW Emergency Services responded to reports of a two-truck crash with persons trapped on Tarago Road about 15km North of Bungendore.

Initial reports stated the driver in the flat-bed truck was trapped by the steering wheel and dash of the vehicle.

Firefighters from NSW Fire and Rescue attended the scene and used hydraulic tools to rescue the man from the cab.

He was eventually freed about one hour after the crash and transported to hospital with only minor injuries.

Tarago Road was closed for just over an hour while emergency services were in attendance.
