A man in his 20's has been critically injured following a collision in Yarralumla early this morning.

Just before 6am, ACT Policing and ACT Ambulance Service responded to reports that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Adelaide Avenue.

The pedestrian, a man in his 20’s, was treated on scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and subsequently transported to the Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.

Adelaide Avenue remained closed westbound for most of the morning while police examined the scene.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number P2243632.
