Police investigate serious collision in Barton

Police are seeking witnesses following a collision between a car and motorcycle on Wentworth Avenue this morning.

At about 10.40am, emergency services responded to reports of crash between a green and black Kawaski Ninja motorcycle and a blue Toyota RAV4 at the intersection of Brisbane Avenue and Wentworth Avenue, Barton.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the 21-year-old male motorcyclist was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics before being transported to hospital in a serious condition and the 34-year-old female driver was also transported to hospital with minor injuries.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team are investigating the circumstances of the collision and urging anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
