Drivers escape serious injury following collision and fire on Tuggeranong Parkway

The drivers of three vehicles have escaped serious injury following a collision in Lyons this afternoon.

At about 4.30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of the Tuggeranong Parkway.

One of the vehicles caught fire immediately after the collision with the driver escaping just in time.

An ACT Emergency Service spokesperson said ACT Ambulance Service paramedics assessed one person at the scene for minor injuries but they did not require transport to hospital.

Tuggeranong parkway northbound remained partially closed until the vehicles were removed from the roadway.

ACT Policing are investigating the crash.
