Two rescued following crash on Barry Drive

Two people have been rescued from their vehicle following a single-vehicle crash in Acton early this morning.

At about 4.15am, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Barry Drive.

Upon arrival they located two persons trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters worked to free both persons removing one of the doors to gain access to one person trapped on the passenger seat.

An ACT ESA spokesperson said that two people were treated on scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and were transported to hospital.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this stage and ACT Policing are investigating.
