A car has narrowly missed a home in Ngunnawal overnight.

Just after midnight ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on Mirrabei Drive.

The vehicle is believed to have left the road ploughing through a fence damaging a vehicle before coming to rest in the backyard of a home.

A police spokesperson said that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
