The driver of a utility is lucky to be alive after colliding with a tree in Bywong this morning.

At approximately 9.00am NSW and ACT Emergency Services responded to a single vehicle collision on Bungendore Road.

Upon arrival they located a 19 year old who was trapped in the vehicle, which had impacted with a tree on the side of the road.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended the scene and assisted in removing the driver from the vehicle.

A NSW Police spokesperson said the female was treated at the scene and conveyed by Ambulance to hospital and her injuries aren't considered life threatening.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
