ACT Policing is investigating a motor vehicle collision where a vehicle ended up on top of another in the city overnight.

Just before 8.30pm ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on Vernon Circle.

An ACT ESA spokesperson said ACT Ambulance Service Paramedics assessed a number of people at the scene.

Two lanes of Vernon Circle were closed by ACT Policing for more than an hour while the area was made safe and the vehicles were removed.
