A man is lucky to be alive following a crash in Casey overnight.

Just after 9pm ACT Emergency Services responded to a motor vehicle crash at the roundabout of Horse Park Drive and Whitrod Avenue. 

Upon arrival they located one man trapped inside his vehicle.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to rescue the man from inside the vehicle before he was treated and transported to hospital by ACT Ambulance Paramedics.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the collision.

ACT Policing have commenced an investigation into the crash.
