ACT Policing is investigating a collision that occurred in Kambah overnight.

At approximately 9pm ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of crash on Sulwood Drive near the intersection of Inkster Street.

An ACT Policing spokesperson has told OnScene ACT that the male driver allegedly fled from the scene after his Toyota Hilux collided with a tree and light post. The light post collapsed and blocked one lane of traffic on Sulwood Drive.

A man believed to be the driver was later located and has since spoken to police.

Enquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone who was travelling on Sulwood Drive last night who may have witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the incident that has not already spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
