A 47-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash in Belconnen this afternoon.

At approximately 5.15pm this afternoon ACT Emergency Services were called to a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike on Hennessy Street.

Members of the public and ACT Ambulance Service paramedics assisted the man before he was transported to hospital.

Tragically he was pronounced deceased in hospital a short time later.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

This is the second death on ACT Roads this year.
