Three people are in hospital with seriously injuries and another has died following an incident in a Page home this morning.

ACT Policing responded to reports of a disturbance at about 9am this morning in Braine Street.

Police said they found a man with significant injuries and while police were providing emergency first aid to the injured man, they said another man rushed at the officers, that man was subsequently tasered and taken into custody.

A large crime scene has been established with a number of homes fenced off while police gather evidence.

ACT Policing have deployed a large number of resources to the incident including numerous senior homicide detectives and multiple forensic staff.

Police assure the public that there are no ongoing risks to public safety in this area.

Investigations remain on going and we are expected to be provided with an update on Monday.
