A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after falling at Kowen yesterday.

Just after 10am Emergency Services were called to assist a man who had fallen at Molonglo Gorge.

AFP Search and Rescue, ACT State Emergency Service and NSW Ambulance responded to the area.

The man was stabilized by NSW Ambulance Paramedics while AFP and SES members found a suitable area for the man to be winched into the helicopter.

The Toll Ambulance helicopter airlifted one person from the scene and he was flown to The Canberra Hospital.
