A man has been transported to hospital with serious injuries following a crash involving an electric scooter in O'Connor this afternoon.

At approximately 3.15pm ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Wattle Street and MacArthur Avenue.

Upon arrival they located a man on the footpath seriously injured.

ACT Ambulance Paramedics treated and stabilized the man with the assistance of firefighters before he was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

ACT Policing said investigations into the crash were ongoing.
