ACT Policing are investigating a fire which destroyed a number of vehicles in Reid overnight.

At approximately 11.20pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a car fire on Gooreen Street.

Upon arrival firefighters located a number of vehicles on fire in a carport with the structure also involved in fire.

A number of ACT Fire and Rescue resources responded to the location while firefighters worked to prevent the spread of fire into more vehicles.

The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes, and there were no reports of serious injury.

ACT Policing attended the scene and are investigating the incident.

This is the second fire in a week at the location, and police are seeking witnesses.
