Firefighters have extinguished a house fire in Cook this afternoon.

At about 4pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a house alight on Henry Street.

Upon arrival firefighters found fire inside a bedroom of an unoccupied house.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and the house was ventilated.

The scene was then handed over to ACT Policing for further investigation.

There were no reported injuries.
