Firefighters contain grass fire Northwest of Canberra

Firefighters have contained a fire Northwest of Canberra this afternoon.

At approximately 2pm, NSW Rural Fire Service were called to reports of a Machinery and Grass fire on Yeumburra Road off Dog Trap Road.

Firefighters worked for more than 2 hours to contain the fire which burned through 3 hectares of grass land.

In total, 9 fire trucks responded to the scene, with fire threating a home during the height of the blaze.

A tractor on the property is believed to be the cause of the fire.

There were no reports of injury.
