A man has died following a single vehicle crash in Watson overnight.

At about 2.45am, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Antill Street.

Emergency services arrived and found a vehicle in the front yard of a home after it had collided with a tree.

Despite the best efforts of Emergency Service personnel, the man died at the scene.

Police have since closed Antill Street between Fison Street and the Mount Majura Reserve Carpark.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team are investigating the circumstances into the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
