Several people have been injured following a crash between a fire truck and car this morning.

At about 10.20am, several firefighting resources responded to reports of a grass fire in Nicholls.

About 5 minutes later a water tanker fom ACT Fire and Rescue was involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of Kuringa Drive and The Barton Highway.
Further emergency services were sent to the crash scene to assist.

ACT Ambulance Service Paramedics treated several people at the scene, and two people were transported to hospital with minor injuries

The intersection remains partially blocked and ACT Policing have advised people traveling South on the Barton Highway to find an alternative route.

The intersection may be closed for several more hours.

An investigation into the crash is underway by ACT Policing.
