ACT Policing have commenced an investigation into a suspicious fire in Palmerston overnight.

At about 1.30am, ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Arden Place.

Upon arrival they located a vehicle on fire in the driveway with fire spreading to the attached garage of the home.

Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and prevent its further spread into the house.

Following an examination of the scene, the fire was deemed suspicious, and police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident.
