A 12-year-old has been transported to hospital after being hit by a car in Yarralumla this afternoon.

At about 2pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a collision on Empire Circuit.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated and transported a 12-year-old child with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was interviewed by police at the scene.
