Marley, a 9-year-old dog stole the spotlight when he found refuge in a compartment of a fire truck following fire in Kaleen overnight.   

Just after 11pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to numerous reports of a house fire on Cloncurry Street.

Upon arrival firefighters located a shed on fire at the rear of a property and got to work with several hose lines.   

The residents and their dog were safely evacuated from the home and there were no reports of any injuries.   

The fire was brought under control quickly and extinguished just after midnight.   

ACT Policing were also in attendance.
