Firefighters have extinguished a car fire in Hackett overnight.

At approximately 12.30am ACT Fire and rescue responded to reports of a car fire on Jukes Street.

Upon arrival firefighters located a vehicle well alight.

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire and prevent burning fuel from running down the street.

The fire was extinguished a short time later, and there were no reports of any injuries.

ACT Policing were also in attendance and are investigating.
