Police have commenced an investigation into a fire which occurred in Giralang overnight.

Just before 11pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire on Gidjili Place.

Upon arrival firefighters located a vehicle and garage involved in fire.

The fire was quickly contained before it could spread to adjoining homes.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the occupants of the home were not injured and an investigation into the circumstances of the fire has commenced.
