A man has been transported to hospital following a crash on the Monaro Highway yesterday.

Just after 3pm ACT Emergency Services responded to a motor vehicle crash on the Monaro Highway about 2.5km south of the Johnson Drive roundabout.

Upon arrival they located a vehicle well of the road into bushland with one person trapped inside.

Firefighters removed the driver’s door from the vehicle to gain access to the man.

ACT Ambulance Service assessed and treated the man before he was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

ACT Policing were also in attendance and are investigating the cause of the crash.
