A 29-year-old man has been transported to hospital following an alleged assault at a Queanbeyan Hotel overnight.

At about 11.30pm, emergency services responded to reports of an alleged assault at a hotel on Monaro Street, Queanbeyan. 

It's believed the man was punched in the head causing him to fall and hit the ground rendering him unconscious.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 29-year-old man at the scene and he was transported to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has any available mobile phone footage, to contact Queanbeyan Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
